Summer is here and your closet must be ready for all the activities and getaways. Here I share with you some ideas of looks mixing the top trends of the season, so you can combine it with your own magical style!
IRREGULAR CUT OUT SKIRTS
Skirts are on for the summer season, but this time is not only about minis but also middle and long ones. It’s not about the length but the different and irregular cuts, ruffles and prints that make the trend.
CORSET BELTS & WAIST-CINCHERS
Is time to show off your waist and go back to these corsets and belts that we used to wear years ago. The difference this time is that they don’t have to be necessarily straight and tight, but the fabric can also be subtler or be look alike corsets accessories. You can even find jackets and dresses that have it already included. There is no specific rule with this trend, you can wear it over shirt dresses, white or stripes bottom shirts, sheer blouses, maxi dresses, tops and t-shirts, but always sticking to the neutral colors for an easy combination.
TULL & PEEKABOO
Forget about the time when you couldn’t show your bra, our problems are solved with the bralette era. The idea is to use the underwear as outerwear. You may have seen a lot of white shirts with black bras which is totally part of the game. A combination for this season is to wear tull blouses or skirts with the lingerie under giving a peekaboo, a trend highly supported by Maria Grazia Chiuri in Dior.
COLORED LENS SHADES
As for the excellence element of summer accessories I’m going to mention the latest shades addition to the wide range of sunglasses trends. The yellowish almost transparent lenses are so in for the season, it kind of remembers me of the 70’s and the flower power. As we know the 70’ and 80’s are coming back and there’s no better way to honor them with a rocking pair of sunglasses.
FOULARD FOR THE SUMMER
Another accessory to complement your looks these days is the foulard. Some people think is just an autumn adornment but actually it can be quite versatile and useful during the summer season. It can be worn in the neck to give color or fun to any beach or casual day dress, with a stripes shirt to give a sailor inspired look, with an off the shoulder blouse to stand out the neck or as a beach wrap to mix and match your swimsuit. It can also look cool in your wrist as a bracelet, around your hair as a turban or headband or around your beach hat. Is all about creativity!
